Dr. Zuelsdorff receives funding to expand STRIDE cohort study

Congratulations to Dr. Megan Zuelsdorff and to her mentors, Drs. Ozioma Okonkwo and Carey Gleason, on two recent awards that will fund the expansion of Dr. Zuelsdorff’s Stress and Resilience in Dementia (STRIDE) cohort! In 2018, Dr. Zuelsdorff received a prestigious 3-year Alzheimer’s Association Research Fellowship allowing for priority recruitment of underrepresented African American and rural participants into STRIDE. In March 2019, she received a National Institute on Aging “Next Generation of Clinical Researchers” R03 grant for a project that builds upon the Wisconsin ADRC’s partnership with Wisconsin’s tribal communities, and adapts STRIDE for Native American participants.
